I Love Cookie Dough

by Meg on November 21, 2012

Yesterday I shared a list of a few things that bring me happiness…

Last night, I realized I left out a very important one!

DAVIDsTEA! But, more specifically, hearing about your DAVIDsTEA experiences (and how you thought of me the entire time ;) )

I seriously love receiving tweets, emails, etc. about your experiences at DAVIDsTEA, so keep them coming! But, I am also loving the positive feedback on my tea reviews! :) So, that is what I have in store for us today! A tea review of Cookie Dough, one of DAVIDsTEA's new teas from their winter collection.

This particular tea is a flavoured white tea and can be best described as a liquid cookie. Honestly, it's magical.

I never doubted DAVIDsTEA and their talent, but I also never quite thought a tea could taste so cookie-like until I sipped on this. The ingredients are spot on and are able to produce a comforting cookie-tasting tea that satisfies your sweet tooth.

The ingredients in this tea are:

White tea, cocoa peel, almonds, walnuts, cream caramel pieces, roasted cocoa brittle, chocolate chips, and artificial flavouring.

When you smell the tea before being brewed, you could easily fool yourself into thinking that you are smelling a fresh baked batch of cookies! The chocolate pieces are definitely one of the first smells that you will be able to pick out, but the caramel pieces, nuts, and roasted brittle definitely contribute to the cookie-like scent.

When brewed, the scent becomes even more delicious! Luckily, this tea doesn't let you down like some tend to do. The smell is definitely not better than the taste. The taste is phenomenal!

When I first took a sip of this tea I actually said, "Oh my gosh! This actually tastes like a cookie! Oh my gosh!" I couldn't believe my tastebuds!

So, trust me on this one. It tastes like a cookie. ;)

I let my tea steep for 7 minutes and it turned out perfectly. I've tried this tea with and without sweetener and both are great. Obviously, when sweetener is added it's like you're drinking a sweeter cookie ;)

I haven't yet tried this tea latte-style, but I have heard great things! So, you might want to give that a try – I know I will some time soon!

Since this tea is a white tea and considered to be "low caffeine", you can drink it pretty much anytime of the day! So, if you're craving a cookie for dessert after dinner you know what to do now! ;)

Personally, I am really excited to brew another cup of this tea and cook my oats in it! Now, someone tell me how heavenly that will taste? ;) Like a big oatmeal cookie I suppose!

I hope you enjoyed today's tea review! There will be more to come! Which would you like me to review next from the winter collection?

Alpine Punch

Chocolate Chili Chai

Organic Banana Dream Pie

Cocomint Cream

Have a great day and don't forget about High Five Friday! :) I'm wanting my inbox filled with submissions! You can read more about HFF and how to submit a high five here

Love always,

Meg xo

Aahhh I want to try DavidsTea so bad!!! It sounds so good!! Definately do the oatmeal – I've done it with a sugar cookie sleigh ride tea bag before and it was heavenly -especially as an oatbake topped with sprinkles haha!

Cocomint Cream sounds to die for!

Also, if you're into that tea (which I already am and have yet to try it!), you'll probably love this one too — one of my faves. :)  http://shop.celestialseasonings.com/Sugar-Cookie-Sleigh-Ride-/p/CEL-053696&c=CelestialSeasonings@Holiday

Oooh, a Cookie Dough tea available in Canada? I must track some down. Perhaps it will be a good replacement for the Sugar Cookie Sleighride tea I have bought in the US before.
