It's true. I cheated on David.
As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I payed a visit to Teavana on the weekend.
I'm not going to lie, I loved it. However, David will always have a special place in my heart…
Both company's create unique blends of loose tea; however, DAVIDsTEA is a Canadian-based company while Teavana's first location opened in Atlanta, Georgia.
Quite a few of you seemed to be quite excited when I spoke about Teavana yesterday, as it is easier for some of my US readers to get Teavana products than DAVIDsTEA.
Well, you're in luck! I am overly happy to tell you that I am going to begin reviewing Teavana teas, as well as DAVIDsTEA's, and…

Great way to start the week, huh?
Now, let's get reviewing these delicious teas!
My Morning Mate
My Morning Mate is a mate tea intended to be used to "kick start your day" in place of a cup of coffee. The ingredients within this tea are:
Mate tea, red rooibos tea, black tea, cocoa kernels, carob bits, citrus peels, chocolate pieces, almond, pistachio nuts, coriander, cactus blossoms, hazelnut croquant, sunflower petals, flavoring (chocolate, hazelnut, cream, coffee, caramel, almond, cinnamon, macadamia croquant, pepper, safflower petals, cornflower petals.
I was really excited to try this tea, especially when I saw it contained a variety of different nut flavours; however, I was quite disappointed. Despite it's lovely smell, it tasted quite artificial to me, which isn't totally surprising after looking at the ingredient list – there are quite a few different flavourings used.
Overall, it was a chocolatey-tasting black tea with fake nutty tones. I couldn't see myself enjoying a cup of this tea on a regular basis, so I donated the 50 gram bag to my boyfriend. He seems to enjoy it in the morning instead of his regular coffee. So, if you're a coffee person and need that caffeine boost in the morning, maybe this tea is for you!
Jinja Citrus Twist Green Tea
I was able to choose the three teas in which I got to taste test. Without a doubt, I was bound to choose a tea with ginger in it – my absolute favourite!
This tea smells gingery, but has bright citrus tones, as well. It's like a combination of one of my favourite teas from DAVDsTEA, Organic Pu'erh Ginger and something sweet and citrusy! I love it!
The ingredients in this tea are: Green tea, apple pieces, citrus peels, ginger, hibiscus flowers, lemon flavoring, orange juice bits.
You definitely need to enjoy the taste of ginger to like this tea, so if you're like me and ginger is your thing – you'll love this tea just like me!
Citrus Lavender Sage Herbal Tea
Since I chose two teas with caffeine already, I decided to go with a herbal caffeine-free tea for my third review.
This tea is wonderful. The smell alone is amazing. It reminds me of something from my childhood, but I cannot put my finger on it. It has a boldly sweet citrus smell and contains the following ingredients: Candied pineapple pieces, (pineapple, sugar), sea buckthorn berries, citrus slices, orange juice bits, flavoring (pineapple, tangerine, orange, grapefruit, lemon), pineapple chips, apple slices, lavender blossoms, sage.
The most prominent flavour is definitely pineapple, but you can also pick out other types of fruit such as orange and apple, too. Even though it is a citrus and fruity tea, it is not tangy like most fruit teas. It's very smooth, which is why I think I like it so much. I hate tangy bitter fruit teas.
I have to say, this is my over all favourite of the three teas! So, if you're looking for an amazing caffeine-free tea, I definitely recommend trying this blend!
Now, let the giveaway begin!
Have a great day friends and good luck with the giveaway! May the biggest tea enthusiast win
