Even though I am a bit sad that I have to say good bye to London today as I make my way to Saskatchewan for the holidays, I have so many marvelous things to share with you on this Marvelous Monday morning!
It all started with a celebration at DAVIDsTEA with my friend, Emily.
Friday at 3:40 pm marked the last day of my first term of my undergrad and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with a DAVIDsTEA and some good company <3
As if tea wasn't enough of a celebration, Friday got even better as the night went on! My boyfriend came over to my house and made me a beautiful dinner.
Hands down, the best salmon I've ever had. It was pan seared with a shitake mushroom crust and he made sure the skin got crispy enough to eat! Absolutely delicious.
We enjoyed our dinner on the couch while watching Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
And the night ended with snuggles with this precious pooch <3
The perfect Friday led to a perfect Saturday as my boyfriend and I spent pretty much the entire day at the mall. Even though I didn't make any purchases, it's always fun to go to the mall and browse. We grabbed lunch in the food court…
And then came home to get prettied up for a dinner date at a new sushi restaurant in London called 168 Sushi.
The sushi restaurant really was unlike any other restaurant I've ever been to! We placed our orders on iPads!
I tried a bit of everything! I started with Tom Yum Soup and followed it up with BBQ shrimp skewers, teryaki steak, avocado crab maki rolls, teryaki chicken, grilled mackerel, and salmon and white tuna sashimi.
It was all quite good, but my overall favourites were the grilled mackerel and two types of sashimi.
I would definitely go back to this restaurant because of the fun atmosphere even though the food wasn't amazing.
Sunday was my last day in London. It was a lazy Sunday…
But that's exactly what I needed
I'll never complain about being wined and dined all weekend
Now, it's time for me to catch my flight and finally see my family who I haven't seen in over two months!
I'll be back tomorrow with a fun post!
Have a great Monday, loves!
Meg xo
