Wasn’t yesterday fun!?
Reminiscing in all of those childhood memories… gosh, I could do that for hours on end! I absolutely loved reading all of your comments, too! It sounds like a lot of our diets consisted of cheesy macaroni and fluffy white bread sandwiches!
My parents actually enjoyed yesterday’s post so much that they even started craving the tomato macaroni soup I had every day for lunch as a child. So, they made it for dinner! Now you can see exactly what my bowl of soup looked like rather than some image off of Google! This was their dinner last night…
My Mom’s famous Tomato Macaroni Soup!
Gosh, I had a wonderful childhood. My parents were (and still are) absolutely amazing and provided me with everything I ever needed! I am so thankful for them, which leads me to Thankful Thursday
This is what I’ve been thankful for this week:
Friday Feb. 1 – Coming home to a clean kitchen! My boyfriend stayed at home while I went to the gym and surprised me with a clean kitchen! I’m so lucky to have him! I was even more lucky afterward… we spent the entire afternoon at the mall
Saturday Feb. 2 – My strength! As much as I fear leg workouts, I always feel like I’ve accomplished something so huge after I’m through with them. Saturday’s leg workout was amazing and I increased my weights in a couple of exercises which left me feeling on top of the world.
Sunday Feb. 3 – Spending the entire day with my best friend, my boyfriend!
I am also thankful for all of the new music he’s introduced me to over the past few months (now I can finally listen to something other than Adam Levine…
)
This is one of my favourite new to me songs!
Monday Feb. 4 – Being called into work with the supervisor of my field work study course! I was feeling quite lonely on Monday and didn’t have much of anything to do, so I was thrilled to be needed by my supervisor! I helped her make books for the kindergarten and grade 1 classroom lessons.
Tuesday Feb. 5 – Your help! On Tuesday I wrote a post asking for your help (links to new recipes for me to try!) and I was thrilled with the responses I got! I am so thankful for such wonderful blog friends and I cannot wait to start trying new recipes!
Wednesday Feb. 6 – Having a great chat with my “sister” Sara! I was really in need of a talk with her today and she provided me with all of the comfort I needed
Thursday Feb. 7 – Having three dates planned with four different friends!
This morning I will be going to hot yoga with Emily, then spending time with my friend Kristen, and then I will hang out with Julie and Brittany later on this afternoon
Busy day, but lots of fun!
I hope you all have some fun planned in your day, too!
Love,
Meg xo

Can your boy come clean my kitchen too?
I’m thankful for my family today, especially my dad since it’s his 50th birthday!
Awwww happy birthday to him
Awww so many wonderful things to be thankful for! I like that you did one for every day of the week! That’s really smart! Sometimes girl talk is exactly what you need.
I always do these posts on Thursdays

I need someone to come clean for me, for real.
ME
I’m definitely thankful for my parents, as well! They have done so much for me during my surgery and are taking care of me just fine. My mom went out of her way to get me sushi and all of the things I love <3
I love mac and cheese with tomato sauce, I think it's the macaroni + tomato combo. It's just too good!
What a sweet Mom! I would have done that for you too
<3
Coming home to a clean home that your partner did is the BEST!
He’s definitely the best!
Parents really are the best! I know I appreciate mine more and more each day now that I’m getting older.
BTW – I love a clean kitchen MORE than anything in the entire universe. It makes my heart smile.
Unfortunately, I have to clean it myself… lol
Hahaha I usually clean my own kitchen, too, and yes – a clean kitchen = happy Meg
I love coming home to a clean house, such a treat! I’m happy to hand off the vacuuming duties to my hubby
That song was new to me too, thanks for sharing. I love it. And the video too. I wish I could go surfing…it’s been too long since I catched waves the last time.
Your day sounds like a lot of fun. It’s always good to catch up with friends!
I’m thankful for having wonderful friends and a supportive family. I’m also thankful for being able to live abroad & get a degree I’m passionate about. I’m thankful for finally finding “my thing”.
Congrats girl
You’ve got a keeper of a boyfriend!
Way to go on the leg workouts!!
I am thankful for chocolate and that valentines is coming up
win-win!! Hapy Thankful Thursday, Meg!
HAHA you’re ADORABLE
So many amazing things to be thankful for. I loved this post and am sending my HFF later tonight
Thanks Lindsay! YOU’RE SO AMAZING and I cannot thank you enough for your support!!!!!
The pasta/soup combo is just amazing. I think I had something like that accidentally once and it was so perfect!
Soooooo good
Sis!! I’m totally craving tomato-macaroni soup now! It sounds like a homemade version of Spaghettios? I used to LOVE when my mom would make tomato soup and serve grilled cheese sandwiches alongside it. Another favorite? Macaroni and cheese (from the box, NOT my mom’s version! I was adamant about this…now, it would definitely be the other way around! That orange sauce kind of frightens me!).
You are so blessed and have a zillion things to be thankful for! As for me? I am grateful for your friendship and support every single day. I mean it, sis. You’ve encouraged me SO SO much. <3 Thank YOU. <3 xoxoxo
so glad you and sara had such a good chat! i loved watching you two interact at HLS. i can just see the love you have for each other when you’re together.
so funny that your parents ended up craving the soup. it looks wonderful!
