Happy High Five Friday, friends!
I hope you all had a great week and are ready for a big celebration to kick start the weekend!
The following high fives were submitted to me this week (thanks to all who participated!)
Lauren – “At the beginning of January I set a goal to do 10 push ups a day for the month. Today is the 31st and I have just completed my last set. I am really proud of myself for following through with my plan and have decided to make February plank month. I’ll be doing 1 minute of plank a day, anyone care to join?”
Jess – “I tried a new recipe: Raw Mocha Oat Protein Balls, perfect for early morning pre-workouts and super easy to make as well!”
Miranda – “I’d like to give myself a high five for surviving the home-buying process and buying my very first house at 21 years old, only a month after graduating from college! It was really hard, but so worth it. I can’t wait to start creating this house into a real home for myself and my boyfriend for years to come.”
Emily – “I went to Teavana for the first time!!!! IT WAS DELICIOUS.
”
Lucie – “I started to lift heavy weights again! I am a circuit/HIIT/TRX/Crossfit freak, but since I want to get leaner/toned up I started to do new heavy weight routines with my trainer. It was challenging and will continue to be – so excited!”
Heather @ yogarunlove (Instagram) – “Hey Meg! I’m giving myself a high five because yesterday I decided to sign up for a half marathon, started training, and ran my first ever 10k! I’m a teacher and after busy days at school, it feels so good to just get on a treadmill (or go outside when it’s not freezing) and run. I’m also still dealing with hypothyroid issues and trying to find a balance with medication, so this will be a great way to take my mind off of everything.”
Brittany – “I recently graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Marketing this past December and am in the process of seeking out a full-time career. While in that process, I decided to launch my own side consulting business that provides digital marketing services. As of this week, B. Social LLC, is now licensed and official! I am so proud of myself for working hard and not getting discouraged with the job search process!”
Linz – “I’m giving myself a high five for designing a freakin’ awesome workout for some co-workers after school on Wednesday. We workout in the library, so I have to get creative and design workouts that require no equipment. Mission accomplished with my Feel the Burn Total Body Workout!!”
Heather – “This week I am giving myself a high five for FINALLY creating a blog that I have been thinking about and dreaming about for months! I can finally say I’M A BLOGGER!! I’ve been reading Meg’s blog and many others for over a yaer! I am ecstatic to finaly be apart of this wonderful world. Of course, I’m still very new and learning new things everyday, but taking the first step is the hardest! If you’re looking for a fitness blog, where I’m always enjoying sweets, and sharing parts of wedding planning, check me out!!!”
Lindsay -
Becki – “This week I’m giving myself a HUGE high five for signing up for my very first full marathon and for starting my training with a 5-mile race this past Sunday!”
Once again, thank you for emailing me your high fives this week!

Yay! Great job to everyone.
I bet this awesome list takes a while to put together, so high five to you too, Meg!
Thanks for including me this week, Meg! I hope you have a great day and a happy weekend! All of these accomplishments have me motivated and inspired. High five to YOU for being so thoughtful and sweet.
Giving myself a high five for not falling apart last night. Thursday nights are always the worst for me…I’m often exhausted from the week and overwhelmed and SO SAD I have to get up and do it all again on Friday. Last night I felt anxious and stressed but I took some chill time, watched Gilmore Girls reruns while drinking tea, and focused on my breathing and James chapter 1 to help relax, give my worries to God, and fall asleep. Major meltdown averted!! Woohoo!
Thanks for the mention Meg! Happy Friday!
I tried a new fruit and a little old lady told me that I grocery shopped like “anything was possible.”
OMG babe thanks SO much for my shoutout and with a pic to boot! I love you! i had a feeling this would be what my high five was about because you know what it means to me to be able to conquer my anxieties. i couldn’t do it without your love!
These are all so awesome, way to go everyone! Thanks for including me, Meg. <3
The Highlight of my Week is always reading everyone’s accomplishments. Thank you so much for posting a little blurb about me. Clara Hughes is making a “Hughes” (HUGE) difference and I am so happy to have met her and to have helped her in this process. I will soon be showing pictures of my experience, however until Tuesday when the Special premieres, I have to keep them a surprise. This coming Tuesday, February 12th, 5cents will be donated to Mental Health Initiatives for every long distance call made (Via a Bell phone plan), Text Mesasage Sent (Via a Bell phone plan), Tweet or Facebook liking involving “Bell Let’s Talk”. THANK YOU MEG!! Congratulations on your gains this week as well.
Love these posts. I’m going to have to try those raw mocha protein balls. Thanks again for including me. Have a wonderful weekend.
