Good almost afternoon, love bugs!
Today’s post is late than usual because today is Family Day in Canada, a stat holiday, so I took advantage of not having anything to do and slept in until 10:30
I really can’t think of a better way to spend the morning on this Marvelous Monday!
I’m going to follow Katie’s lead and devote this Marvelous Monday to how I celebrated Valentines Day!
On Thursday evening, my boyfriend greeted me with these beautiful flowers!
And this very Meg-appropriate gift
You can never go wrong giving me a Lululemon gift card!
We both felt like going out for dinner, so I got dressed up in one of my favourite dresses and curled my hair for the special date!
We tried a new-to-me restaurant called Under the Volcano, which is a Mexican restaurant and also my new favourite restaurant here in London!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is laid back and very chill. Despite our late dinner date (9:00 pm), the restaurant was still very busy. It was filled with other couple celebrating the special day!
We started off with some waters as well as nachos, salsa, and a spicy chipotle relish!
The chipotle relish was to die for. I seriously wanted to bathe in it, so I made sure to smother my entree with it!
For my entree, I ordered the steak fajita salad which was a delicious salad that came with romaine, shredded cheddar and mozza cheese, corn, black beans, steak, salsa, and a delicious cucumber lime dressing. Unfortunately, I didn’t snap a picture of my meal because I was enjoying the moment, but I assure you there wasn’t a morsel left on my plate!
My boyfriend ordered a burrito, which I sampled. It was filled with cheese, beans, and chicken. Also very delicious, but I think my salad won best overall meal
I have to say, this Valentines Day was my favourite one to date! I shared it with my special someone and truly enjoyed every single moment!
I hope you all spent your Valentines Day just the way you wanted to!
Love you all!
Meg xo

Happy Monday my dear! ♥
Mexican food is the key to my heart! I grew up in Southern California, where nearly half the population is Mexican, so enchiladas, quesadillas, sopapillas etc. etc. were a mainstay from day one.
It’s total comfort food for me!
I’m so glad you were able to enjoy a special meal out with the boy! The fajita salad sounds amazing (I probably would have ordered the same thing), and those chips are calling my name, too.
Happy Monday, sis! Love you!! xoxo <3

I love Mexican food especially the chips and dips!
I LOVE Mexican food. Seriously. I could eat it every night for dinner . . . fish tacos, guacamole, black beans, margaritas . . . and don’t even get me started on salsa. Whoever invented salsa is a GENIUS. We eat mexican style dinners at home all the time. And our wedding reception was at a local fancy Mexican restaurant, where they let me build the entire dinner just how I liked it. It was fabulous. So glad you had a wonderful evening out!!
