Saying the past few days have been busy would be a huge understatement.
But, I’ve enjoyed every moment!
From going to the Taylor Swift concert in Toronto on Saturday, to traveling back from Toronto bright and early Sunday morning to make it back for my convocation in the afternoon, attending convocation, celebrating Father’s Day, and then attending a second convocation ceremony on Monday plus a luncheon, you could say I’m one tired girl today. But, I’m more than excited to update you on everything and finally give you some insight on what I will be doing with my Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition!
My convocation began Sunday June 16th.
My first of two convocation ceremonies was held at my church in London Ontario, St. Peter’s Basilica.
This first ceremony included only Brescia University College grads whereas the second convocation ceremony, which took place Monday, was hosted by Western University, which Brescia is an affiliate college of, and included students outside of Brescia as well.
The Brescia University College convocation included procession of the grads, distribution of awards, valedictory speech, the Brescia alumnae pledge, and the very exciting ring ceremony!
The ring ceremony was the highlight of Sunday’s convocation ceremony for me as this is the time we are called up to receive our Brescia University College alumnae rings. The alumnae rings are a gift from Brescia and hope to be worn as a memoir and remind the alumnae of their time at Brescia.
I absolutely love my ring and feel so proud to wear it and call myself a Brescia University College alumnae!
After the ceremony, we proceeded out of the church and took pictures. I took pictures with my closest friends and then headed home as I was dying of thirst.
Once home, I used my new DAVIDsTEA tea steeper to make myself an iced Forever Nuts tea! It was my first time using it and I love it! The perfect early birthday present for myself
After chilling at home for a bit with my Mom, Dad, and Grandma, we then headed out for dinner. We had a fantastic dinner at Blu Duby, one of my favourite London restaurants, where I ordered pan seared salmon which came with organic red quinoa and sautéed zucchini as a side. However, before dinner my Dad and I split an appetizer of grilled calamari which was to die for!
Dinner was absolutely incredible and once we got home all of us were incredibly tired and ready for bed!
Monday was another busy day filled with grad stuff, family, and love, so I’ll continue my grad update tomorrow!
