Who’s ready for a party?
Happy High Five Friday to you all!
I’m more than ready for a party. Today is my last weekend before I start school, so I’m going to soak up all of the freeness I can before all of the business starts! I’m thinking a lot of tea dates with friends, date nights with my boyfriend, and a ton of relaxation.
I need to organize my apartment, too, though. But, the fun shall come first!
So, let’s start with the high fives that have been submitted to me via email this week! If you’d like to participate in next week’s HFF please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your submission
Aubrey – “I have a high five for working out for the first time and being strong enough to do it in my recovery.”
Deana – “I came home to visit my parents on Sunday. Monday night I made a roast chicken. Then later that night I made chicken broth! I’ve never made my own broth before and it’s something I wanted to try. Yay!! ”
Olivia – “My boyfriend and I made a goal for ourselves to go for a walk with our dog every night after dinner. We have done it for a week straight now! It feels awesome getting some extra exercise and being able to spend quality time with each other and our dog.”
Katie – “I give myself a high five for completing a 3 Nautical Mile race on Sunday (approximately 3.45 miles) in 30:46 (8:55 per mile pace) and finishing 6th in my age group! After a less than stellar race in July, this was just the run I needed to find my motivation and remember why I love this sport!”
Becki – “I wanted to submit a high five this week because I’ve recommitted to living with intention, especially when it comes to weight loss. I had completely lost motivation to continue my weight loss journey in part because I hadn’t set that as an intention in my life. I’m back on track and kicked it off with my first ever meal prepping experience.”
Jan – “My high five Friday this week has been to still prioritize my workouts even though I’ve been exceptionally busy at work. By doing this I was able to run my best time since starting to train for a half marathon ”
Kristine – “Last Saturday I ran my fourth race of the summer, my second 5k ever. I improved on my average pace per mile and did it completely on my own with no support because everyone else was too busy to make it out, but I really wanted to race! I ended up finishing in the top 15% of the almost 400 runners and am extremely proud of myself since I just took up running this past May!!”
Lindsay – “My high five is for starting my weekend early. I flew back to my hometown of Buffalo, NY last night for a wedding and to catch up with family. I’m so happy to be here for a few days, get to a doctor’s appointment with a specialist for my legs and soak in a whole lot of love and family time Hope everyone has a great weekend!”
@i_am_jamie – “My high fives are that I have not had any chocolate since Sunday!!!! Never in my life have I ever went that long without chocolate.” and my other high five is “the fact that I did [Thursday's GPP] workout and didn’t quit”
Lauren – “This week I ran my last long run before my half marathon race in September! I wasn’t feeling great but I still conquered those 21km with a smile! Just me and my sneaks!”
As always, thanks to everyone who contributed to HFF It makes me so happy to have your support behind something I feel so passionately about! I love raising people up, but I also love when YOU recognize your OWN accomplishments because I want you to realize how amazing YOU are!
