Happy Friday, everyone!
I hope everyone has had a good week and some fun weekend plans to look forward to! I personally don’t have much planned this weekend other than schoolwork, developing meal plans for new clients, and maybe a bit of baking. I finally bought plantains for the first time ever, so I’m thinking of trying these two recipes over the weekend. Again, trying to achieve those September goals!
I’ve been doing really well with my goals so far lately. Since September 1st, I haven’t had the same breakfast. Six different breakfasts this month! Goodbye breakfast rut! I think I deserve a high five for that
Speaking of high fives, Happy High Five Friday!
There’s a lot to celebrate today, so let’s get started! The following high fives were submitted to me via email. If you’d like to take part in next week’s HFF please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your high five
Amie – “I’m giving myself a high five this week for finally starting my blog, coffee-and-coconuts.com! I have been reading blogs for years and always dreamed of starting my own, but I was filled with so much self doubt about my lack of technology skills that I kept putting it off. I finally did it and couldn’t be more excited! Blogging is so much fun! My blog focuses on my recent move to Maui, Hawaii, as well as my journey to health and fitness!”
Lindsay – “This week I want to high five my friends and family for keeping my head on straight and my heart true. My biggest supporter is my mom. She is the rock and the light in my life. She loves unconditionally, she keeps me calm and she is one of the bravest people I know. I wouldn’t have gotten through these last 23 years without her. Here’s a high five to all the momma bears out there ”
Miss Polkadot – “My High Five this week is for quitting an internship I was neither benefitting from personally nor professionally. It wasn’t easy for me because I’m not usually a quitter and really wanted to make this work yet it just didn’t. After some pondering I also decided to share this on my blog as it has become an important part of my life. Still, I was afraid of being judged for ‘giving up’. But all of the respones I got where kind, reassuring and made me appreciate the blog world even more. It’s amazing.”
Mitchell – “I’ve completed my second week of a new workout program. It made me so anxious to ditch compulsive cardio and make my first attempt at weight training. It’s been an eye-opener. A times it has felt like I am free-falling, not having the safety net of running. But after my second week I’ve been able to see small improvements; I’ve been able to make it through all sets and reps, something I couldn’t do when I started. I’m excited to see what progress I can make, and am starting to enjoy the challenge ”
Caitlyn – “I went to my first BodyCombat class and even though it wiped the floor with me, I can’t wait to go back.”
Lauren – “This week I took some much needed me time. I had been feeling quite overwhelmed with work and life so my boyfriend and I took a road trip down to Toronto to visit family. Spending time with my friends and family is exactly what I needed to relax!”
A big thanks to all of you who emailed me this week with your high fives I can’t wait to hear from you again!
