As I mentioned last week, I was in a huge breakfast food rut. I was eating the same thing over and over and over. Eggs and toast, but once I ran out of bread I moved onto eggs and bagels, but those bagels only lasted so long and then it was eggs and sweet potatoes.
I have to say, eggs on toast is probably my favourite breakfast to have, but I don’t need to be having it every single day.
Variety is best and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing more of this month, including variety into my days! Especially breakfast
Today is already the 9th of September, which means I’ve had a total of 9 different breakfasts so far. I’ve been keeping a document for myself to keep track of my different breakfasts as motivation to keep trying new things. This is what my breakfasts have been so far this month:
September 1 – 2 Eggs, ground turkey, sautéed green peppers, and baked sweet potato
September 2 – 2 Eggs, baked sweet potato, and macadamia nut butter
September 3 – 2 Eggs, baked sweet potato, and fresh raspberries
September 4 – Chocolate Zucchini Oat ‘n Yogurt Bowl topped with walnuts and figs
September 5 – 2 Eggs, avocado, and figs
September 6 – 2 Eggs and Mix My Own cereal with almond milk and Greek yogurt
September 7 – 2 spelt tortillas, spinach, tomato, 2 eggs, and ground turkey made into “eggritos”
September 8 – 2 eggs, salmon, sautéed spinach and broccoli with ghee
I’ve really been enjoying the variety and believe that it’s a very important thing to include in your daily life, so I’ll keep my habit up. However, I do miss my bread…
I’ve fallen in love with Silver Hills Bakery products and was planning on going grocery shopping this weekend to replenish my stock so I could add breads and bagels back into my breakfast rotation (while still keeping variety, of course), but I had a very pleasant surprise when opening my mailbox the other day before I had the chance to do my grocery shopping…
The lady who I have been networking with over the past few months from Silver Hills Bakery surprised me with several free coupons so I could stock up on their amazing products again! Pretty much the best surprise a bread lover like me could ask for!
I love the products offered from Silver Hills Bakery because they create wholesome breads with simple and natural ingredients. Their breads and bagels are made from sprouted grains, so all of the amazing nutrition provided from the entire kernel is still contained! Silver Hills Bakery also does not use any oil, artificial preservatives, additives, stabilizers, eggs, dairy or genetically modified ingredients. Their breads and bagels are vegan and kosher, as well.
Now, give me a reason not to love this brand!
I’ve tried almost all of the products offered by Silver Hills Bakery and love them all!
Their Squirrelly bread was perfect for a toasted chicken sandwich with a thick slice of tomato, ripe avocado, and a crisp piece of lettuce.
Mack’s Flax was another favourite of mine to use for sandwiches as it had great flavour!
The Big 16 was my overall favourite bread and it was the perfect slice to soak up my runny yolks!
Steady Eddie, Little Big Bread, and The King’s Bread were all lighter breads with not as much flavour as the ones I mentioned above. So, if you’re looking for a bread with a more subtle taste these would be the perfect choice!
Their Raspberry Bagels were also one of my favourite products. I thoroughly enjoyed toasting them and topping them with coconut oil. It was heavenly.
I could go on and on about how much I love this company and their products, but I want to give you the chance to experience the goodness for yourself!
