Hey, all! I hope you’ve all had a chance to enter the Silver Hills Bakery giveaway for a month of free bread! Silver Hills Bakery is my favourite provider of sprouted grain breads and bagels, so if you haven’t entered the giveaway yet you definitely should or you’re missing out on an entire month of free bread. And I’m sure you don’t want to miss out on that. I know I wouldn’t.
Another thing you shouldn’t miss out on is the second Tea Tuesday post, so keep reading!
Cocoberry is definitely one of my favourites from the fall collection. Wait, who am I kidding? I love the entire fall collection. But, having said that, Cocoberry is definitely a tea you do not want to miss out on!
This tea is packed with flavour and caffeine. It’s a black tea that also contains yerba mate and coffee beans, so it’s a perfect tea if you need a kickstart in the morning or an extra boost throughout the day.
I love the flavour that the coffee beans add to this tea. The flavour of coffee combines perfectly with the berries included in this tea.
Black currants and coffee beans are the featured ingredients and star flavours of this tea, but it contains a long list of ingredients that may surprise you:
- black tea
- black currant
- coffee bean
- juniper berry
- roasted yerba mate
- lucuma powder
- acerola powder
- baobab fruit powder
- acai powder
- coffee flavor
- natural strawberry flavor
- natural and artificial plum
- sugar cane
- cherry flavour
The mango surprised me, but also the fact that there was no cocoa in this tea surprised me, too, as the flavour reminds me somewhat of the flavour of Chocolate Rocket, which contains cocoa.
I let my bag steep for about the recommended five minutes and it turned out perfectly. As always, I didn’t feel the need to sweeten this tea as the fruits, especially lucuma, produce quite a bit of sweetness in this tea.
I have yet to try this tea as a latte, but I’m sure a Cocoberry latte would be magnificent and extremely decadent. I’m imagining it mixed with coconut milk now. Oh my…
I hope you enjoyed the second Tea Tuesday and will be back for more next week when I review another tea from DAVIDsTEA’s Fall Collection!
Remember, if you don’t have a DAVIDsTEA store near you, you can order online!
Have you tried Cocoberry yet?
Talk to you tomorrow!
