It’s hard to believe it’s nearly the middle of September. It’s also hard for me to believe that it is Friday. Since my last day of school during the week is a Thursday, Friday always seems to feel like Saturday to me.
But, it is most definitely not Saturday
or I would be at the farmer’s market right now, it is definitely Friday, so let’s celebrate the one and only, High Five Friday!
The following high fives have been submitted to me via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you’d like to be featured in next week’s post please email me, so we can all congratulate you on your successes
Lauren – “I always talk about my love of fitness at work and over the past week a few of my colleagues asked me to help them with workout plans. I was so honoured to hear I inspired people to live a healthier life. You can see the TABATA workout I shared here: http://ellepottsie.com/2012/06/01/workout-inspiration/ – you’ll be a sweaty mess if you try it!”
Sara – “My high five completing two my hardest workouts thus far in marathon training. I did a 10 mile progressive tempo on Monday and 5 x 1 mile repeats at 110% of goal marathon pace yesterday. These were both tough workouts and took a lot mentally to get through – but I did it! Running is for sure making me a much stronger and confident person! HIGH FIVE!”
Mindy – “This week, I’m giving myself a high five for understanding (starting to) that being beautiful has nothing to do with being beautiful.”
Jan – “My high five Friday this week is for doing a 20km (12.42 miles), training run on Sunday. I am in training for my first half marathon in 4 weeks time and that training run is the furthest I have ever run.”
Lindsay – “This week I want to high five myself for finally just taking each day one at a time. I went into Monday really stressed about work and all the work I had to do. But as the week went on, I told myself to just focus on THAT day and no other. Everything has a way of working itself out in the end — and in great ways. I feel like I learn so much from the people I work with every day. Happy Friday!!”
Kim – “I have completed the 21-day intuitive eating challenge and am now almost at one month without binge eating! I am so proud of myself and feel like I am truly living my life now. Food is now barely a concern, and more of an enjoyment. It’s amazing how freeing it is to eat intuitively and rid myself of disordered eating habits ”
Jackie – “I give myself a high five for successfully going 4 days without counting calories!! This is a big deal for me, as someone who counted calories every day religiously for years.”
Ruby – “Monday I ran 10 miles on a treadmill Because I am now a mother of 3! My youngest is 10 weeks So postpartum running has been awesome and a 25k on the 21st! My son will be 12 weeks old”
Meg – “I’m giving myself a High Five this week for coping…strange, but true. It was a really hard week, but I was able to ‘dig deep’ and make it through each day…and now it’s Friday and I can’t wait for the weekend! Happiness in the big and small, right? ”
As always, thanks to all of you who show your support towards High Five Friday High Five Friday definitely wouldn’t be where it is today if it wasn’t for your support and submissions! So, thank you once again!
