Today’s High Five Friday post is starting off with a twist…
A strange twist
Even though I usually devote my entire post on Fridays to High Five Friday, I couldn’t help but share a strange but good recipe that I created just yesterday, so I could join in on Laura’s Strange But Good link up party this week!
I’ve been getting very creative with my breakfasts lately. Ever since starting my breakfast challenge, I’ve been really pushing the limits with this meal in particular, which results in some pretty awesome creations!
All recipes will be shared! I promise! But, today we’re focusing on the strange but good recipe
PB & J Burger
1 homemade burger (see note below)
2 TBSP peanut flour
Begin by toasting your bread. While your bread is toasting, make your peanut flour sauce by mixing the peanut flour with a small amount of almond milk (approximately 1 – 2 TBSP). Mix the peanut flour and almond milk until a smooth sauce forms. Prepare your strawberries by heating them in the microwave for a few seconds, so they become slightly melted and juicy. You may need to add a touch of water to them, so they create a “sauce”. Once your bread it toasted, the peanut sauce is made, and the strawberries have been warmed, it is time to assemble your burger.
Smear the peanut sauce on either piece of toast. Top one slice with your burger and then top your burger with your strawberries. Finish by topping with the other slice of toast. Enjoy!
Note: You can use whatever burger you want for this recipe. I used my homemade burgers, which are made with ground turkey and any combination of spices I choose. I bake them at 425 degrees F for 25 minutes or until cooked through.

Thank you to all of you who participated in HFF this week! It’s so important to recognize your accomplishments each and every week! Giving yourself recognition for your achievements, big or small, is so important for building up your self confidence, so please continue supportive HFF! I believe we all need at least a little bit of a self confidence boost each and every day, but especially at the end of the week! So, take part in HFF and tell me why you are giving yourself a high five this week!
