Good morning, friends!
I’m really excited for this week! I have even more recipes coming at ya, yesterday’s was only the beginning , there’s a giveaway being launched tomorrow, and I’m also reviewing one of my newest favourite teas from DAVIDsTEA today for this week’s instalment of Tea Tuesday!
The name alone sounds amazing… Mango Lassi.
Before knowing the ingredients to this tea, I assumed it would be vibrant and tropical, but also knew that it would be somewhat different from there other teas featuring mango, Mango Madness and Mango Diablo, and it most definitely was.
Mango Lassi definitely encompasses the delicious and tropical flavour of a mango, but it also contains the soothing flavour of chamomile, as well.
I am quite the chamomile fan. To me, it is one of the most perfect bedtime teas, but at the same time it can be kind of boring. So, I usually don’t drink chamomile tea all that often. However, Mango Lassi jazzes up the usual chamomile tea and makes it so much more exciting for me to sip on!
I usually reach for Cinnamon Rooibos Chai before bed, but ever since the launch of Mango Lass in September, I am having a hard time deciding between the two. I would say Mango Lassi is in my top two favourite teas to have before bed.
Since Mango Lassi is an herbal tea, I never worry about over steeping it. I leave my bag in the entire time, so the flavour just gets stronger and stronger.
I have never had this tea as a latte nor have I ever added sweetener to this tea as the mango and orange peel add a lot of sweetness to this tea.
The ingredients to this tea include: mango, chamomile, orange peel, vanilla bean, vanilla extract, natural and artificial mango flavouring, and natural cream flavouring
To sum up this tea, it’s a fruity chamomile or a creamy mango tea. Either way you describe it, it’s a delicious tea and definitely one of my favourites. I only have a little stash of it left in my tea cupboard as I usually have it every night. Last night I enjoyed a cup while watching Dexter with my boyfriend Yes, we had a very festive and wild Thanksgiving day and evening!
I hope all of my Canadian friends had a very happy Thanksgiving!
Did you enjoy today’s Tea Tuesday post? Does this tea sound like a tea you would enjoy? Have you tried Mango Lassi before? Do you like chamomile teas?
