High Five Friday #96

Good morning, loves!

I hope you all had a great week!

Mine was busy and filled with learning! I’m loving my new course called Preventative Nutrition. We’re learning about how, essentially, all disease begins in the digestive system and how to prevent it! The book I am reading for this course is really good, too, so I highly suggest it to any one of you who are interested in learning a little bit more about how nutrition can affect your overall health!

I have an exam tomorrow, so I’m sure my nose will be in this book pretty much all day. But, like I said, I absolutely love this book, so I don’t mind at all!


Today’s High Five Friday is an exciting one! We have a lot to celebrate, so let’s begin!

Alexandra – “I’m giving myself a High 5 for treating my body right! I was feeling sore and stiff Thursday morning, and decided to treat myself to a beautiful 45 minute massage! Later that day I was starving, so I treated my body right and ate a gigantic Sam Houston burrito from Fresh! To die for :)”

Anna – “I’d like to give myself a high five for hosting theĀ #HolidayEatingChallenge


Sara – “I am going to give myself a high five this week because I am still in the process of coming back to running after a femoral stress fracture. It has been a long and hard road and Monday I knew something was off after a trial run. Instead of pushing myself through it like my old self would have done. I stopped, backed off my training, and went back to cross training. This may not sounds like much but it is a big step for me!”

Meg – “I’m giving myself a HF this week for two things: Firstly, for taking the first steps of competing in my first fitness competition in 2014 and secondly, for continuing my ‘Advent of Awesome’ calendar with daily instalments of wonderful things!”


Miss Polkadot – “After postponing it for way too long I finally stepped up and started working on an article about a topic that’s dear to my heart. It was easier than I thought it’d be – starting always is the hardest part. Now keeping my fingers crossed it’ll work out in the end.”

I will be giving myself a high five for really listening to my body. I’ve become much more in tune with what my body needs and wants over this past little while and I love the feeling of being so centred.

My high five for myself today is staying active while traveling this week. It’s not always easy to wake up a little earlier, but it felt good to know I was getting some movement in during a busy week.

Love all the high fives this week!
I would like to give myself a high five for recognizing that I was having a rough morning yesterday and NOT letting a bad workout put me in a funk the rest of the day. THEN going to the gym today and killing it with an alternate GPP workout that I knew would kick my butt in the best way possible!
