High Five Friday #98

I can’t believe it’s been a whole week since we’ve chatted last! That has never happened before in the entire history of A Dash of Meg! But, you know what? It felt great!

Eddie and I arrived in Saskatchewan last Friday and have been thoroughly enjoying our time here.

The few days before Christmas kept us busy, so Christmas seemed to sneak up on us pretty quickly! I can’t believe it’s over now, but I’m sure happy we have over 10 days until we have to say goodbye to my parents!

I hope you all had a great Christmas, too! If you follow me on Instagram I’m sure you’ve seen all of my Christmas-related pictures that I’ve shared over the past few days – lots of crab, family time, and amazing food was enjoyed, but if you haven’t seen any pictures of my Christmas yet I will share some now before we start celebrating the 98th High Five Friday!

I can give you a more thorough update about my Christmas and my time at home next week, but today we’ll celebrate High Five Friday and share our accomplishments from the past week!

Remember, anything counts! Be proud of everything you do! Big or small, own it and be proud!

Kim – “For starting to blog again to vent and get past my holiday binges. I’ve been having a rough holiday season, focusing far too much on my weight and body image.. But I am proud of myself for taking a step towards figuring out what’s behind these binges and getting myself back on track.”

I will be giving myself a high five for taking a step back from blogging and all forms of social media this week. Today is the first time I’ve blogged in a week and I really haven’t touched the computer since last weekend. I haven’t been on my phone at much, either, and I was always on my phone as I am a total addict to Instagram, but now after taking that much needed step back I am able to see that I’m a lot happier when I’m not glued to my computer or my phone.
I’m still learning a lot from what I’ve taken in over this past week during my time off from blogging and social media and hope to come to some conclusions soon, but for now I all I know is that I’m going to keep doing what feels right :) Blogging when I want to and enjoying the precious time I have at home with my family right now.

I give myself a high five this week for resting, sleeping, and eating! Big accomplishments over here and my body is responding better to work outs because of it!

I am taking a slowdown break too from blogging until January!!! It feels good! I am reading some & commenting but less until January – I really need this! :)

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen you look so happy, Meg. You’re absolutely glowing in all of your pictures and I love seeing how much Eddie gets along with your parents. That’s the best, isn’t it?!

Hi Meg! Oh how I’ve missed you!!!

My High Five is also stepping away from the computer for the holidays. I love blogging, don’t get me wrong, but it felt great to just be with family and not constantly be thinking about blog topics and things of the like.

Here’s to a wonderful 2014, you look radiant!
