High Five Friday #108

March 7, 2014 | High Five Friday | 14 Comments

Oh. My. Goodness, guys!!!!

I go home tomorrow!!!!

I am so happy the time is finally here! It feels like forever since I was home last, but, in reality, it hasn’t even been three weeks.

So, I’mΒ reallyΒ excited about today being Friday for that reason and because it’s the 108th High Five Friday!

Thank you to all of you who emailed me your high fives this week! High Five Friday would be nothing without you! If you would like to appear in next week’s HFF please email me at adashofmeg@gmail.com and share your high five with me πŸ˜€

Miss PolkadotΒ – “Rest days. All-out, hardly moving at all rest days. That’s what I’m giving myself a High Five for this week. I’m generally having a hard time resting even though I don’t do any high-intensity workouts on the days when I do exercise. But due to a foot injury I basically wasn’t able to do any more than the walking I couldn’t avoid [to work or the stores]. It wasn’t easy mentally but I know I’ll only recover in a timely manner if I’m giving myself all the rest my foot needs. Good luck there’s a library around the corner so I’m not running out of books to keep myself busy.”

Lindsay – “I’m giving myself a high five this week for creating a new sweaty home workout that I LOVE and taking the time to make a really delicious dinner for myself that I enjoyed a couple nights. I always just throw a bunch of things together and call it dinner because I either don’t have time or am just too tired. I’m glad I did this because it shows me that it’s worth the time and energy to make something I know I’ll enjoy.”

Meg – “I’m giving myself a High Five this week for JUMPING IN. I mean this both figuratively and literally. Figuratively, I made a really hard choice and it means major life changes ahead and literally because I finally returned to the pool! I am such a nervous swimmer and very self-conscious about my lack of skills but I faced my fears and dove in yesterday!”

Cheryl – “I have never in my life owned a pair of skinny jeans. I bought a pair 2 months ago and two sizes too small on purpose and have tried them on every other week or so to see my progress. Today they zipped up without a problem, and yet the scale hasn’t budged! Just goes to show you the scale doesn’t show you anything!”

Mikaela – “I am giving myself a high five this week for setting a new squat weight PR and a new bench press weight PR! I have only been lifting heavy weights since January and I crushed the goals I had made 2 weeks earlier than I had planned!”

Danielle – “My high five this week goes out to my 2 friends and I. We have been training hard since after Christmas to run in the Saskatoon Marathon on May 25th! It will be their 1st half marathon and my second! I am so happy to have 2 good friends to run with, and it has made training a lot more fun!”

Kristen – “I got my own profile on female muscle and fitness!”

Tricia – “I have finally decided to go ahead and do a 30 day reset (similar to whole30). Today is my first day and I’m going to give it my best.”

I will be giving myself a high five this week for completing my first Whole 30! πŸ˜€

What are you giving yourself a high five for this week?Β Can’t wait to hear from you! πŸ˜€

Meg, I absolutely adore the idea of a High Five Friday!! I am new to your blog (how could this be?) but I will definitely be bookmarking it and coming back because I just had a look around and I love it. I also just read your post about completing the Whole 30… that deserves a huge high five! I would love to hear more about it from you — I’ve been looking into similar programs. Always love to get to know my body better to be able to fuel it with what it needs/wants. And have a fun weekend at home!! Xo, Jordan
