An Energizing Tonic Recipe

April 9, 2014 | Eat, Food, Nutrition | 18 Comments

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a great day yesterday! Mine was packed with goodness. I started my new workout program, a man approached me in the gym and told me “you’re strong!” and to “keep going!”, I had a Starbucks date with Eddie’s Mom, I watched Eddie’s niece play basketball, went out for dinner with the fam to celebrate Eddie’s brother-in-law’s birthday, and FaceTimed my parents while watching The Voice with them! A great day full of love. Exactly what I needed.

Exactly what we all need, actually.

I also think we all need Leanne’s newest cookbook, Vibrant Life.

Seriously, though. If you haven’t yet purchased her cookbook, I highly suggest you do and you can do so by following this link. I spoke about this cookbook in a post a few weeks ago, but I didn’t share a recipe with you yet!

That is what I am here to do today! 😀

Today I will be sharing a recipe for one of Leanne’s “Energizing Tonics” with you called “Zing Bulb”. Leanne has a total of four different “Energizing Tonic” recipes in her cookbook, but the recipe for “Zing Bulb” caught my eye and tickled my tastebuds while reading through her cookbook the very first time!

The reason this particular recipe appeals to me is because of its simplicity and refreshing flavour. And the fact that it has chia seeds! And we all know how much I love my chia seeds 😉

This drink is perfect to sip on any time of day. Coconut water is extremely hydrating and rich in nutrients while the chia seeds offer a dose of fibre, omega 3 fatty acids, and antioxidants to your day!

Zing Bulb
Energizing Tonic from Vibrant Life Cleanse Program and Cookbook

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 lime
1 3/4 cup coconut water
2 tbsp chia seeds

Directions:

Juice the lime. Pour the juice into a container and add the remaining ingredients. Cover and shake. Cover, refrigerate, and soak for 4 hours before serving.

I told you it was simple. And it is so delicious, too! As are all of the recipes in Leanne’s cookbook! If you’re interested in more recipes like the one I just shared, you can buy her cookbook here, but what’s even better is that this cookbook doesn’t only offer recipes! It also provides you with Guides to Cleansing, Cleanse Programs, Meal Plans, Shopping Lists, and words of motivation, too!

Are you interested in Leanne’s cookbook? Don’t miss out! Buy it here!

Will you make this recipe?
