High Five Friday #116

by Meg on May 16, 2014

Woah this week has flown by!

It must be the weather. Even though this week hasn’t been perfectly sunny, we got a lot of rain this week, I think that any weather without snow and cold temperatures is quite enjoyable and welcome after such a long long winter.

I also had a lot of outings with friends this week, which definitely made the week feel like it went by faster than normal, too.

I’m excited for the weekend. I plan to get a lot of case study work done, go to church, and flip some tires for the first time! I’m sure it will be a blast!

Before we can start celebrating the weekend, though, we need to celebrate High Five Friday! If you’re new here you can read more about HFF here.

The following high fives were submitted to me via email. If you’d like to see yourself in next week’s HFF post please email me at adashofmeg@gmail.com, I would love to hear from you :D

Katie – This week I’m giving myself a major high five for stepping outside my comfort zone and trying CrossFit for the first time! I was so nervous before but had an awesome time and when I left, I was already looking forward to my next WOD!

Jessica - This past weekend, I raced a 7 Miler and podiumed (2nd female) as well as winning the hill climb challenge (thanks to that booty..) and came first for my age group. One of my goals for 2014 was to podium and this is my second time this year. Can’t wait for the next race!

Shannon - Last night I ran my fastest 3-mile fun run ever (in my whole life!) with my Wednesday night running group! The weather was fantastic, light rain drizzle, and I just booked it.

Lindsay - This week, I’m giving myself a high five for saying YES to new and fun opportunities. I was given an awesome chance to learn about filming commercials, and was able to sit on set and take in the whole experience. It was incredible. I’m trying to make myself more available to these and always communicate my interest in learning as much as I can from my managers and directors.

This week I will be giving myself a high five for working very hard on my case studies throughout the week and almost getting 2 completely finished. Due dates are approaching and I wanted to start working on them, but I ended up getting way more done this week than I even expected!

Now it’s your turn… what are you giving yourself a high five for this week?

Can’t wait to hear from you!

Meg xo

I’m giving myself a high five for successfully managing two houses with 3 dogs between the two! I am house/dog sitting and therefore have to take care of my pooches and my friend’s and I think I have successfully spoiled them all this week!

My High-Five this week is for myself. I have been eating a lot better for the last 3 weeks! No sugar, pasta, bread etc, and I have never felt better! I have energy that I never thought I could have, and have been a much more positive person! It’s wonderful!

It’s funny that you bring up snow when it’s SNOWING OUTSIDE MY WINDOW….wtf?!
Thankfully, I’m not letting it get to me because I’m too busy giving everyone high fives for being awesome. ;)

Today giving myself a high five for running a HARD six miles with my run club last night. Both the other ladies are so much faster than me, and distance runners, but I’m keeping up! Also, I’ve spent the whole week working hard on studying for my ACE exam. Two weeks until the test.
