Tea Tuesday: Zhena’s Full Leaf Teas

by Meg on May 20, 2014

Good morning, lovies! :D

Before we get into today’s post, I just wanted to let you know that yesterday I was having blog issues all morning and my blog wouldn’t load. So, if you missed the post I published yesterday, please feel free to catch up today! I wrote a post about the reminders I use in my own life for self love and body peace, which was a follow up post to last Monday’s post on having body peace post vacation! Yesterday’s post was really important to me and I wouldn’t want any of you to miss it! <3

Ok, onto Tea Tuesday!

Since starting Tea Tuesday and creating the hashtag #teawithmeg (which you should use every time you share a picture of yourself enjoying a cup of tea!), a few different tea companies have contacted me to review their teas for them!

I can never turn down a good cup of tea and, although DAVIDsTEA will most likely always be my favourite, I always enjoy trying new brands and blends of teas!

Today’s Tea Tuesday post will review three different teas I was sent from ZHENA. I had never heard of ZHENA’s teas before, but I am so thankful they contacted me as they sent me three teas that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks, ZHENA!

All three teas I received were full leaf teas, my favourite!

Wildberry Hibiscus was the first tea I tried because it was in the evening and this tea is an herbal tea; therefore, caffeine free! Perfect for the night time!

I didn’t think I liked hibiscus very much, but after trying a few hibiscus containing teas as of late (including this one), I now know I really do actually like hibiscus tea!

This tea is great warm, but also amazing iced! So, it is definitely a tea I will be sipping on throughout the summer months. It tastes much like a fruity juice, so it is also the perfect tea for all tea “beginners” :)

Coconut Black Chai was the second tea that I sampled because I love coconut!

And it definitely didn’t disappoint! This tea is a black tea, so not ideal for late night sipping, but good for throughout the day! I was really happy with this tea because I thoroughly enjoy chai teas, but this tea was extra special since it had the flavours of a chai tea plus coconut! This chai had more cardamom flavour than cinnamon and cloves, so it wasn’t too spicy, which is good for those not wanting a spicy tea!

I also enjoyed this tea iced :)

Rose Mint is an herbal tea and perfect for right before bed.

Minty teas aren’t the type of tea I choose often, but every now and then I feel like sipping on a minty tea before bed! I don’t get too many stomach aches, but I remember back in the fall when I would get stomach aches often, I would sip on mint tea and it would give me quite a bit of relief.

This tea is pepperminty, but a sweet peppermint, which made it that much more enjoyable! This tea also contains rose petals, which gives it a very unique flavour! Overall, I was really surprised about how much I enjoyed this tea!

Have you tried ZHENA’s teas before? Which of the three teas that I reviewed today sound most appealing to you?

Don’t forget to show me your #teawithmeg :D

Never heard of Zhena, but I like the name and the look of the canisters. The hibiscus tea looks delicious to me! (And as always, three cheers for DAVIDsTEA.)

Iced coconut chai sounds great as a summer alternative to iced coffee!

AND I HEAR YOU on blog/hosting problems!! I feel like every other day HostGator is kicking my booty! I always get scared when I try and load my blog out of fear it won’t! LOL!

Aw, my picture’s up there! :-) You’re sweet to feature it :-) I think the coconut chai sounds delicious, but then so does the rose mint. I’m not a big fan of hibiscus, but I would try it! I’ve never heard of Zhena tea, but I really do like their containers and marketing :-)
