High Five Friday #124

Happy Friday!

Ready for a High Five Friday celebration?

We’ve missed that past 2 weeks of HFF’s, but I received a HFF submission this week, so we’re celebrating! I hope you’re excited as I am because I love HFF!

HFF is a day to celebrate your accomplishments and be proud of YOU. I find that we do not give ourselves enough recognition for all of the amazing things we do on a daily basis, so I created HFF! You can read more about HFF here.

Dana – “I’m giving myself a high five this week for taking a huge leap of faith and staying strong. I’ve been really, really sick for a couple weeks now, so much that I couldn’t even get off the couch for about two weeks. I’ve basically been eating bananas, rice and chicken broth for 3 weeks. None of my doctors can figure out what’s wrong with me, and I won’t have any of the (extensive) tests we’ve done back for another week. But I was able to see a silver lining in all of this – being this sick finally made me realize that I need to completely pull back from my high stress life to allow myself to fully heal from the many health problems I’ve been dealing with for the past year and a half. This week, I quit my full-time job and I’ll be moving back home with my parents. It’s terrifying to go what seems like backwards, but I know it’s what I need to do to get well. I’m also excited I’ll FINALLY be able to focus on myself by removing unnecessary stressors in my life.

A quote that’s really helped me through these past few weeks: “The period of greatest gain in knowledge and experience is usually the most difficult period in one’s life.” – the Dalai Llama”

This week I will be giving myself a high five for working so hard on my case studies. I have 5 more left to write (we have to complete 14 in total) and knowing that I am more than half way done with just under a month left to go makes me feel really good, confident, and less stressed!

I’d also like to thank all of you for being so understanding with my new blog schedule lately. I dislike not blogging as frequently as I used to, but this schedule just works for me right now. I’m sure that once I am done studying for my final exam at the end of August, I will be back and blogging more regularly like usual!

Thank you love!! I’m so excited it’s finally friday and this crazy week is over. Yay for de-stressing!

I’m glad to see you still active in blogging with everything you have going on. Great job Dana! :) My high five is for taking a rest day when I needed it (and not feeling guilty for it).
