Hi! I’m Meg, a 23-year-old Registered Holistic Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition.
I live in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada with my fiancé, Eddie, and our dog, Nikita. I studied in London, Ontario, which is where I met the love of my life, but we decided to move to Saskatchewan and make it our home.
I love being back in Saskatchewan. I’ve began my own private practice as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and it’s nice to live down the street from my Mom and Dad after living away from them for 4 years! Family is very important to me.
I started A Dash of Meg as a way to journal my life when I moved two provinces (30 hours) away from my parents to go to university. Soon enough, blogging became more of a passion of mine rather than just a hobby to keep my parents updated on my life in London, which brings me to where I am today…
Instead of pursuing a career as a Registered Dietitian like I intended to when beginning university in 2009, I decided that I wasn’t done learning. So, I applied to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and was accepted into their full time Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) program. I studied to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist throughout September 2013 – June 2014 and am now practicing as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist out of Yorkton, SK, but also accept clients internationally, as well, as I offer online consulting services, too.
In addition to my passion for nutrition, I am also passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.
I grew up dancing and swimming, but it wasn’t until 2009 when I started going to a gym to lift weights. Soon the self conscious girl I used to be vanished with the self confidence I gained from lifting weights. I followed several bodybuilding programs such as Jamie Eason’s 12 Week LiveFit Trainer and even received personal training from a personal trainer at my local gym, but I found another fitness love when I attended the Blend Retreat in May 2013 and was introduced to GPP Fitness.
After completing my very first GPP Fitness WOD I was hooked.
So hooked, in fact, that I attended the GPP Fitness Intensive Training in July 2013 and became a Certified GPP Fitness Coach.
So there you have it. I’m a lover of life, food, fitness, my family, God, DAVIDsTEA, Lululemon, and travelling. For more random facts about me read these posts and feel free to contact me through any of the links provided below. I always love hearing from my readers
